Google Nexus 4 – A Budget Windows Phone
Google Nexus 4 is a new flagship smartphone from the house of LG and is going to pose a tough competition to Samsung Galaxy S3 and Apple’s iPhone 5. This smartphone was launched by LG along with two other great products including Google Nexus 7 and Google Nexus 10 tablets. Google Nexus 4 has got Android Jelly bean version 4.2, which is the latest operating system by Google.
The design and build of this phone is like any other smartphone. There is a Corning Gorilla Glass 2 display which helps to protect the screen. The rear side of the phone is protected by a dark shimmering dot matrix pattern and looks quite appealing to the eyes. Nexus 4 weighs around 140 grams and thus is slightly heavier than majority of other smartphones. However, due to its robust build it doesn’t really require a phone case.
Google Nexus 4 sports a massive 4.7 inch display which supports 1280 x 768 pixel resolutions. The high rich pixel per inch makes the text look razor sharp and the images look vivid and bright even when you see them under bright sunlight. The Play Movies feature in the phone offers a wide selection of new movies releases as well as classic on rental basis. The much needed 8 MP camera is included in the device. Also, it has got a sensor upgrade, which is a great improvement over Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The camera works brilliantly in the outdoor light. The strong flash that is given in the phone allows you to click picture even in the dark.
Among the most noticeable pre-installed application in the phone is PhotoSphere, which allows you to shoot in 360 degree mode. PhotoSphere may be considered as a more advanced version of Panorama and allows you to take single images with a 360 degree view. As far as performance of this device is concerned, it’s really good. Under the cover of this phone there is powerful and quick Quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor that runs on a 2 GB RAM, thereby making it one of the fastest Smartphone available in the market.
Lastly, LG and Google have great expectation with this quick phone. The standard connectivity features including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC are already present in the phone. The battery life of the device is pretty good and is comparable to high-end smartphones Galaxy S3 and iPhone.
